A Brief History
LSG Engineers & Surveyors began in February of 1994 as Ledy Survey Group, the land surveying arm of the Ledy Companies, a multi-discipline engineering and architectural firm. With the 2009 closing of Ledy Design Group (LDG), the civil engineering department and Survey Group merged to become LSG Engineers & Surveyors, Inc.
1994 - LSG founded with Douglas Richardson and Alan Boyer as principals. The first project was construction staking for the Lansing Exhibition Center expansion.
1995 - 1st out-of-state project in Leola, PA.
1995 - 1st international project in Atlacomulco, Mexico.
1999 - Heath Drain in Ingham County becomes LSG's 1st county drain project.
2002 - County Line lntercounty Drain between Eaton & Ingham Counties becomes LSG's 1st intercounty drain project.
2007 - 100th out-of-state project.
2010 - LSG becomes LSG Engineers & Surveyors.
2013 - The design team that includes LSG wins a design competition for the proposed AgroCulture Liquid Fertilizer Headquarters in St. Johns, Michigan.
2013 - 8th international project, St. Thomas & St. Andrews Parishes, Jamaica, BWI.
2014 - AgroCulture Liquid Fertilizer Headquarters Project receives Construction Association of Michigan Magazine's Project of the Year Award.
2016 - Along with the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Drain Commissioners from Clinton, Ingham and Shiawassee Counties, LSG receives the MACDC 2016 Innovation and Excellence Honorable Mention for the Corcoran lntercounty Drain maintenance project.
2017 - LSG passes 1000 projects since 2010.
2018 - LSG begins 25th year of operation.
